1. Is the initial consultation really free?
Yes, it is. The initial consultation gives us a chance to get to know each other—and for you to decide whether or not you would like our firm to represent you. The consultation generally lasts between 20 to 30 minutes, and we can meet either by phone or in person at our Seaside office.
2. Do you have flexible payment plans?
Absolutely. We can design any given payment plan around your particular matter: such payment plan can include a flat fee, contingent fee, by the hour, or some other arrangement. Your payment plan will usually depend on the issues surrounding your case. However, we will always strive to be as communicative as possible regarding your fee structure so that you have a full understanding of your potential legal costs. And, as always, we encourage you to ask questions about the services we provide.
3. What types of contracts do you deal with?
We can assist you with many types of contracts, such as vendor agreements, independent contractor arrangements, licensing, purchase agreements, leases, and much more. Today, it seems that contracts are a part of each person’s and every business’s daily existence—not only do you deserve a strong negotiator on your side, but you also need an understanding of what you’re agreeing to. This is not of your reach! We can help you through the process, and what’s more, explain each step in plain English.
4. Why do I need a lawyer to help me with my LLC/ C corp./ S corp. formation? Can’t I just do it by myself?
Yes, you can do it by yourself! However, there are several advantages to retaining a lawyer. Depending on your particular situation, one entity type may offer better tax advantages over the other, or may even offer better opportunities for expansion or transition. Consulting an attorney can help you to possibly save countless dollars in taxes or other associated costs. The hard part, of course, is allocating capital to legal counsel when your business is just starting up. Still, making the right move now may help you to reap generous rewards later.
5. Will you keep me updated and informed about my case?
Yes. Our firm’s policy is to communicate with the client early and often… we may even contact you when nothing is “happening” with regards to your case simply so that you stay updated as to its progress. As always, you are free to call or visit. And, if at any time we are unavailable to speak with you, we will return your call promptly. Your understanding of your own case is of paramount importance.
6. Hablan ustedes espanol?
